The Welding Station: Productivity Starts at the Table

Most of the time lost in a welding shop is not spent welding but preparing the part: measuring, aligning, clamping and turning. A well-planned workstation shortens that preparation time and improves repeatability.

Welding Tables and Modular Clamping

Perforated-top welding tables, together with clamps and stops, establish a repeatable fixturing arrangement. When dozens of the same part are produced, a set fixture beats realigning every time — and it shows up directly in output.

Lifting and Rotating Tables

Positioning the workpiece to suit the operator is not merely a comfort question: with the right height and angle, welding position improves, defect rates fall and load on the operator's back and shoulders is reduced.

Welding Fume: A Risk That Cannot Be Ignored

Because of the metal oxide particles it carries, welding fume is a recognised occupational respiratory risk. General ventilation does not solve it on its own; the effective answer is to capture fume at source.

  • Extraction arms: the intake is positioned close to the weld — the most effective method.
  • Downdraft tables: systems extracting through the table top remove the adjustment burden from the operator.
  • Filter selection: particle class and the filter cleaning method determine running cost.

Shop Layout

Station layout should follow material flow: preparation, welding, grinding and inspection need to be linked in a sequence with no backtracking. Separating grinding from welding areas improves both quality and safety.

Share your shop dimensions, production type and number of stations, and we will define the right equipment and layout with you.
