Process Control by LINDER

In critical industries, control is synonymous with safety and profitability. We provide the definitive instrumentation to measure, monitor, and master the most demanding…

You Cannot Control What You Cannot Measure

Process control starts with sound data. The error produced by a single drifting transmitter grows through the whole control loop: product quality fluctuates, energy is wasted and alarms lose their credibility. Instrument selection is therefore a process decision, not an accessory decision.

Four Core Measurements

Pressure

Selection is driven by more than the measuring range: overpressure rating, wetted material and, where required, the use of a diaphragm seal. On lines with vibration, the need for damping must be assessed separately.

Temperature

Thermocouple or RTD? RTDs are more accurate and more stable at low and medium temperatures; thermocouples cover a wider range and respond faster. Thermowell selection matters as much as the sensor itself, because of flow-induced vibration.

Level

Float, hydrostatic, radar and ultrasonic methods each solve a different problem. Foam, vapour, dust and sticky product — these interferences decide the method, not the size of the tank.

Flow

Electromagnetic, ultrasonic, vortex or differential pressure: conductivity, cleanliness of the medium and the available straight pipe run guide the choice. Insufficient straight run will make even the most expensive flowmeter read wrongly.

Installation and Calibration

An instrument's accuracy ends at the installation point: a badly located sensor will never deliver its catalogue accuracy in the field. Calibration at commissioning and a periodic verification plan determine the return on the measurement investment.

Tell us what you need to measure, in which medium and under what conditions, and we will define the right instrument and installation solution with you.
